1. What Data Will Be Deleted from Firestore & Firebase
After your request is reviewed and processed, we will delete applicable account and personal data that Milestone Minds controls, subject to legal retention requirements. Submitting this form records a request; it does not itself complete the deletion.
- Firebase Authentication Credentials: Your login account, verified email address, Google SSO links, and cryptographic authentication tokens.
- Student Profile Record (Firestore
/students): Full student name, registered email, school/grade level (e.g. Grade 7, Grade 8 CBE), phone number, and account creation timestamps. - Curriculum Book Subscriptions (Firestore
/subscriptions): Active 1-year book access rights, chapter reading bookmarks, and device authorization tokens. - Local Device Data: Deleting your account may not automatically remove downloaded books or cached data already stored on your phone or computer. Follow the app's available instructions to remove local copies.
2. What Data Is Retained (Statutory Exceptions)
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019) and Kenyan banking/taxation accounting regulations:
- M-Pesa Transaction Logs: Safaricom Daraja M-Pesa transaction references and totals may be retained where necessary for applicable financial, accounting, security, or legal obligations. Any associated personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements. We do not claim that identifiers have been removed unless that has been verified.
3. Submit a Data Deletion Request Online
Use the form below to submit a formal account and data deletion request. The request is intended to be recorded in our Firestore compliance collection (/deletion_requests) for review by our administrative team. Submission alone does not delete your account. We will review the request and communicate with you about its processing.
